Since Kyle is with his dad this Christmas, Jer and I celebrated with him yesterday. We enjoyed a sunny day with presents, apple crisp, iceskating, hot chocolate, a scooter, the holiday light display at the Del Mar fairgrounds, and finished it off cozy on the couch watching the Polar Express.

So I’m on this new workout kick that Tory introduced me to called Interval Training. The point is to spike your heart rate in between periods of recovery, and because it’s so intense, you can shorten the length of your workout and get the same or better results of a long workout.

Well it’s 51 degrees outside, which is downright freezing here in So Cal. And it’s not just freezing, but pouring rain and windy with not a patch of blue to be seen, so it pretty much qualifies as a winter storm.
