Congrats!

To Mike Moore for winning the Kings of Poker bracelet Saturday night and dethroning Jer. It was well deserved.
And guess what? I didn’t come in last and actually won my buy-in back. Yay!

My Grandpa the Pied Piper

His obituary was on the front page of the Redlands Daily Facts today and it was such a beautiful tribute. Grandpa read that paper every day.
I miss him.

Dropped Call

At work, we get advertisements over our fax machine all the time. I usually take a quick glance and toss them, although this one got my attention. I thought it was pretty brilliant and gave me good reason to tease my boss mercilessly about his “last conversation”.

The Tooth Fairy on Trial

When Kyle first heard about the Tooth Fairy, he was pretty cynical, but when his bottom two teeth got loose, he changed his tune and tried negotiating getting money for his teeth and keeping them. He lost those teeth at his dad’s house and I guess his negotiations worked as he called and happily told [...]

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a great long Labor Day weekend, the weather was perfect and the Lord is so good to us. Sunday we took Kyle to Nickel City and I beat Jer at quite a few games. Anyone who’s aware of Jer’s gaming history has to give me props, esp if you’re aware of my sad gaming [...]
