After I came back from lunch I realized I’d left these notes in plain view on my desk. With sales guys borrowing my desk and customers in and out while I was out, I felt like I needed to get everyone together for a disclaimer.

It’s moments like this that make the Wii expenditure worthwile. Kyle’s stiff little moves with his tongue hanging out the entire time crack me up. And yes, I’ve accepted that fact that he’ll never have a career in dance.
I hope he’s a forgiving teenager. :p

Yesterday I picked Dennis up after he’d made a delivery. On the way back I was on the phone with my wireless service trying to fix my broken voicemail. BTW, said wireless service had the audacity to charge me $36 to change my phone number and not only will they not offer any kind of forwarding service on my old number, but they completely messed up my voicemail service. Highway robbery I tell you.
Back to my story. While I’m on the phone Dennis gets a call from his new girlfriend and since I was put on hold with said wireless service a few times, I overheard bits of Dennis’ side of the conversation. This part involved me.
Who’s that? It’s Angie, from work.
Pause
She’s just picking me up after I delivered a vehicle.
Pause
Why? Because she has to, it’s work!
Pause
C’mon, Tony asked her to come out and pick me up! Sometimes Angie picks me up. It’s for work!
Pause
I go to deliver vehicles and Tony sends Angie to pick me up sometimes.
Pause
C’mon sweetie, don’t be jealous, don’t be jealous. Calm down.
Then came many reassuring sweet nothings and kissing sounds. I blocked it all out then.
Alex has been telling us what a jealous woman his girlfriend is. He wasn’t kidding.

And here’s the rest of them. These ones were taken on our walk to Mirror Lake, our 2nd bike trip and playing at horsehoes.
I wish I’d brought a better camera as mine just doesn’t do the scenery justice, but these will have to do.
A shot of the whole valley on the way out. You can see Bridal Falls on the right, Half Dome way in the back and the 3000 ft high, rock climber’s paradise, El Capitan on the left.
Half Dome behind us.
The raging Merced River.

On Sunday we got back from a 5 day trip to Yosemite, my 3rd trip up there. It was just as beautiful as ever, the falls were full and I miss it already. Yosemite has this knack for stealing a little place in your heart and it always calls you back. We had great company with Tim, Deb and Ike camping with us and Tom and Eva joining us later.
We were rained on a bit, but only for part of the day, so we still got plenty of sun. When the rain came we’d cozy up in the lodge with hot coffee and Settlers, two games of which I won!
We didn’t do Half Dome this year, but instead did the 7.2 mile, 2700 elevation gain hike to Upper Yosemite Falls for the first time which was gorgeous! The scary, yet exciting part was hiking the better part up to the falls in a full on storm complete with lightning and thunder. Every cave we passed was crammed with other hikers sheltering from the storm, but instead of getting cozy with them we pressed on. We were soaked, but thankfully by the time we got to the top the storm cleared and it was sunny and warm.
Here’s part 1 of all my pictures. These are from our first bike trip and the Vernal and Yosemite Fall hikes. If you haven’t been to Yosemite before, I suggest you add it to your vacation plans.

I was looking though Kyle’s schoolwork with him the other day and came across a page where he had written all the days of the week. He said “Mom, look. I was extra careful with ‘Wednesday’ and wrote it as nice as I could, because that’s the day I get to be with you”.
I love this little boy more than I could ever say, …despite his thievery.

Steph had a pirate party last weekend for her 21st which was so much fun. Thanks for hosting you guys! The best part was getting dressed up and seeing everyone’s costumes, many of which were really great. Hick was the modern version of a pirate in case you were wondering.
I didn’t get shots of everyone unfortunately, but here are some.

My conversations with Dennis usually end with me morphing into a giant question mark and this time was no exception.
I had picked Dennis up after a delivery and we were on our way back to the office when Far’s “Pony” remix came on the radio. If I could choose a song I would least want to be sitting in a car listening to with Dennis, Pony would be it, so I quickly reached over and changed the radio to the I-don’t-care-what-as-long-as-it-doesn’t-play-that-song station and it happened to be playing a commercial.
After the crisis was averted and I relaxed and collected myself, Dennis asked me “so, you don’t like the commercials huh?” The fact that he was asking me that after I had just changed the radio from a song to commercials didn’t make sense to me, but being relieved that he obviously hadn’t been paying attention, I decided to go with it.
Me: Well, I don’t think most people really like the commercials. Why, do you?
Dennis: Yes I do. It’s nice to have a little pause sometimes and commercials are a pause. Sometimes my brain needs a pause.
What? A pause from what? The music?

Happy Birthday to Stephanie Paone who I like very much and may even say love. She’s kind, thoughful, intelligent, funny, laughs easily, is beautiful inside and out, so, so cute and adored by Kyle. She’s 21 today so we can finally go out although I kind of feel like I’d be corrupting her.
Happy Birthday Stephy! I hope you have a wonderful day and I’ll see you this weekend at your party getting our pirate on. Yo Ho Ho!
